THE HISTORY
The Honda Classic has become one of the favourite stops for the players on the calendar with many of the biggest names heading to the first event of the "West Coast Swing." The Honda moved to the current venue in 2007 and has been statistically one of the toughest courses on tour, including major championships. This is in part to Jack Nicklaus’ remake that introduced the famous “Bear Trap”, an intimidating trifecta of holes – 15, 16 and 17 – known as among the most severe three-hole stretches on the PGA Tour.
