Rehabilitation / Return To Play

Injuries and niggles are common within golf due to the repetitive nature of the golf swing that is experienced throughout the season and many hours spent practising the swing technique. Additionally, the golf swing is an explosive action – especially with longer clubs – resulting in a high amount of force and stress being place on the joints of the body which can lead to a breakdown in technique and control.

Getting your body back into position to be strong enough and thus confident enough to participate again requires an individualised and progressive programme during the rehabilitation phase all the way back to play. Getting your body strong, mobile and stable in the required areas will not only significantly reduce the risk of the injury reoccurring but it will also provide you with the physical tools to continue competing at the level you were before the injury and potentially, at an even better standard.
